About Trip Atelier

Who We Are

Trip Atelier is a Korea travel resource built specifically for first-time foreign visitors. We cover everything you need to know before and during your trip — from navigating Incheon Airport to understanding Korean subway etiquette, finding the best street food, and getting around without a local phone number.

We are a research-based editorial team. Every article is fact-checked against primary sources: the Korea Tourism Organization, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Visit Korea (english.visitkorea.or.kr), the Seoul Metro, and official government portals. We do not write from personal travel experiences — we write from verified, documented information so our readers can plan with confidence.

Our Mission

Korea is one of the most visitor-friendly countries in the world, yet first-time travelers often struggle with the same avoidable problems: arriving at Incheon without a SIM card, getting confused by T-money vs contactless cards, or not knowing that Google Maps navigation barely works in Korea.

Our mission is simple: give every first-time foreign visitor the information they need to arrive prepared, navigate confidently, and enjoy Korea the way locals do — without the friction that comes from outdated or vague travel advice.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Specific, actionable information — We cite real prices in both Korean won (₩) and USD, actual station names with line numbers, and current operating hours. No “prices vary” or “it depends.”
  • Verified against official sources — Every factual claim is traced to a government body, official transport operator, or reputable institution. We flag when information may change and link to where you can verify it.
  • No fabricated experiences — We do not write “When I visited…” fiction. Our editorial policy prohibits first-person experience claims we cannot verify. What you read is what our research found, clearly attributed.
  • Regularly updated — Korea’s rules, prices, and systems change. We monitor updates from official sources and revise articles when information becomes outdated.

Editorial Team

Trip Atelier is produced by a dedicated team of Korea travel researchers and content editors. Our team reads official Korean-language government publications, transport advisories, and tourism updates — and translates that into clear, practical English guidance for international visitors.

We welcome corrections. If you find an error or outdated information, please contact us and we will investigate and update within 72 hours.
